PERMANENT COURSES

We provide permanent orienteering courses within parks, open spaces, nature reserves and visitor attractions.

Orienteering encourages the use of an area in a new and fun way.

They are a great way to engage local families and groups in outdoor physical activity.

CASE STUDY: ADVENTURE NOW

Adventure Now Manchester controls.jpg

Adventure Now wanted maps of their Two sites in Manchester and Sheffield. Orienteering is being used to complement the other outdoor activities they currently offer. With their orienteering maps they have created 'catchphrase quest'.

"We’ve mixed orienteering with catchphrases to create the Catchphrase Quest.

Explore nature using our custom orienteering maps to navigate around to each of the clues dotted around our sites to make up the quest.

You can go up against the clock and make it a time trial to compete against other teams, or take it slow and enjoy your leisure time being spent in the great outdoors. The Catchphrase Quest is a fun filled activity, perfect for a unique family day out or something quirky to do with friends".

Tanglewood is a forest school based in the village of Tissington. They wanted to use the whole village for a larger scale walking orienteering activity looking for local clues and a map of a nearby aboretum to put out markers for a faster paced activity to use with school groups.
