The Trafford School Sports Partnership approached Michelle to map and design Orienteering courses on a number of Primary and Secondary school sites in Trafford.  

 

Michelle was very committed in her approach, contacting schools to schedule and undertake the required mapping. From dealing closely with Michelle on the mapping of my own school I found her to be extremely reliable and was impressed with her knowledge and professionalism in completing the tasks required. The standard of the resources produced by Michelle were of a very high quality and are currently being used by over 25 local schools.

We have had two maps created by Michelle and we are very pleased with both of them. The first was in the grounds of a hotel, the second was in a large woodland. As well as delivering great maps, Michelle figured out where to add all the checkpoints should go and gave us versions of the map with and without checkpoints. We asked for a few tweaks to the map and they were all made promptly and at no additional cost. I would recommend Michelle to anyone, great service and really easy to work with.

We had Michelle join us last year to map our school grounds and run a training session for all staff. She was extremely efficient in the mapping process and was able to support us produce exactly what was required to run exciting and educational orienteering lessons.
Staff have used the courses not just in PE but also as part of maths, phonics and geography lessons. Our Forest School lead is about to make use of the courses as well.
Following storms earlier this year we had a tree come down and wanted to make a change to our maps. I contacted Michelle with our needs and she had carried out all the amendments and sent updated maps back within the same afternoon!

A fantastic company! Service is great. Michelle can visit your school and provide extensive plans and resources to implement a Orienteering Scheme of Work straight away, including an full map of the site. We have used this with Y9-11 mixed ability students with great success. We have a really small site but the resources have kept the students challenged for weeks. They are easy to follow and really adaptable. Michelle works independently during her visit, so no impact on teacher time and after service care has been fab. Outstanding support and attention to detail.

I was made up with what Michelle was able to do for the school. She came out, reviewed the school, the grounds we had and created a map based upon the areas we had to 'hide the controls'. Michelle then came out and fitted all of the controls for us safely which meant we have been able to offer orienteering in school for the first time.

That has also then had a beneficial impact for students who are taking the DofE within school. Along with creating the maps and fitting them, Michelle also provided the department with CPD which I was able to offer out to the school and also provided the department with 20 different sessions which could be delivered. We have used these to create our units of work for years 7-11 and also have additional lessons for our SEN students. I could not recommend the Orienteering company enough.
